Docking: Rates & Reservations

We are thrilled that Stonington Harbor Yacht Club is a 2019 Boaters' Choice Award Winner! For the 2nd year in a row. This means that we have consistently received outstanding reviews from Marinas.com boaters and, as a Boaters’ Choice, we are in the top 3% highest-rated marinas on Marinas.com. 

The Stonington Harbor Yacht Club, located at the mouth of Stonington Harbor offers an idyllic seaside setting with quick and easy access to Fishers and Long Island Sounds.  Stonington Harbor boasts the only port in Connecticut with direct access to the Atlantic.

As a guest of the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club, you have 24-hour access to our showers and laundry facilities. WIFI is available in the clubhouse. You are welcomed to enjoy our restaurant and bar where lunch and dinner are served in both our beautiful dining room or outside on the terrace.

Non-member:  $3.50/foot

AVAILABLE SERVICES
Transient guests may take advantage of our dining room and bar located in the Clubhouse. Reservations are a must.  Showers, laundry facilities and ice are also available. Marine services along with several restaurants, boutiques, beaches and historical sites are a short walk from the docks. 

A public access floating dinghy dock is located in the marina. There is no charge for tie-up during the day. Overnight tie-ups are not allowed.


CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

  • Bed Check: start at 10:00am/10:30am-
    Dockhands will knock on the door of your boat or give you a friendly reminder that you are to please vacate the dock no later than 11:00am.
  • Check-in: 11:30 am
    Please hail on the Stonington Harbor Yacht Club on VHS 78 or call directly at 860.535.0112 when approaching the harbor.
  • Check-out:  11:00 am
  • LUNCH VISITORS-
    If space is avaialable, members and guests are welcome to tie up to the dock no more than 3 hours at no charge, so long as they are dining at SHYC.
  • 3 Hour Tie Limit (if space is available):
    MEMBERS AND GUESTS: please note: Any vessel(s) that are tied to the dock for more than 3 hours will be charged a nights's fee/rate at the dock. Spaces must be approved by office or dockhand in order to accomodate incoming reservations. Please understand that just because a space "looks" like it is available, does not mean that it is.
  • Tie-Ups are only permitted on the 240 foot westface dock, running parallel to land.
    All individual slips are privately owned- unauthorized boats will be removed and towed at owners expense.

CANCELLATIONS

If a cancellation is necessary, the request must be received 48 hours prior to the arrival date, otherwise one night's deposit will be forfeited.

GETTING HERE:

By Sea From Fishers Island Sound - Proceed from G "5" and leave the inner breakwater's daymark, R "8", to starboard, then approach the SHYC docks off your starboard side. In the chart image below, the SHYC docks are located at the tip of the red arrow.

  • Please note:
    The depth of the Westface dock is between 11-15 feet at low tide depending on the location of the vessel.

Our club monitors VHF 78, please hail Stonington Harbor Yacht Club as there are other marinas on this channel.
